Hmm.... whilst I disagree with any "shoot first, ask questions later" policies, I can't really see how the list of criteria for spotting a suspected suicide bomber could be made any less vague without being so over-specific as to be ridiculous. But why shoot to kill? If the bomber has a "dead man's switch", it'll go off. If the police accidentally hit the bomb, it could go off. Can the police not simply shoot them in the legs? Or better still - why can our government not overhaul it's foreign policies to stop angering muslims in the first place?

I couldn't agree more. If someone sufficiently committed decides to blow themselves up, there's really not a lot anyone can do about it.
I think policies like this just make things more dangerous for everyone.
